my dads been a ***** lately to my mom and she just stoped doing things for him cause of the way he treats her so i need help trying to confront him about this and get him to change his attitudeHow to get your father to change his attitude?I think you need to be careful here and not make matters worse as this really is something just between your parents. You could try saying to your dad that it upsets you to see the way he treats your mom and leave it at that and see what happens

I have the same issue and believe me, I always want to tell off BOTH of my parents. But you have to remember: they are going to be married long after you leave if things go well. This is their marriage.



You can never make anyone change their attitude. They have to decide to do that on their own. Show him that you are hurting, but don't argue with him. If he begins to argue, leave it alone.



I understand that you want to stick up for your mother, but you can't handle this for her. That's her husband.

I know it's hard but unless he's physically BEATNG her, and her life is in danger, you MUST stay away.



Talk to your Mom, share your concerns and ask her opinion. I'm pretty sure she will say the same thing.
